A hold is not a completed payment.

Invite only · Mastercard
Fund it from the wallet you already use, then spend anywhere Mastercard is taken. No bank, no wire, no clearing window, and nothing about your on-chain history follows you to the checkout.
02 · The flow
Send USDT, USDC or ETH from the wallet you already have. No bank account, no wire, no clearing window, no business days.
02 · The flow
The card is a Mastercard, so acceptance is not our problem to solve. If the terminal takes Mastercard, it takes this. Online, in shops, on subscriptions, abroad.

04 · The app
No end-of-day batch, no settlement window. The number on screen is the number the card can spend, the instant it changes.
04 · The app
A number, an expiry and a CVC, the same three things every other card gives you. Nothing at the checkout has to change, and nobody has to be told anything.
04 · The app
Holds, charges and refunds appear the moment they happen. Nothing waits for a monthly statement, and nothing is reconciled overnight.
05 · Manifesto
Themerchantseesacard.Notawallet,notabalance,notyou.
06 · The product
A card account built around the moments most banking apps hide: the deposit that is still confirming, and the hold that has been placed but not yet taken.
Product details
Every screen is designed around the actual event underneath it, not a generic spinner.

Send USDT, USDC or ETH from the wallet you already use. It lands as dollars.
No address, no balance, no history. The till cannot tell this apart from any other card.
07 · Rewards
You earn points as you spend and turn them into balance whenever you want. That is the whole mechanism. It is worth saying plainly because almost nobody else in this category does it that way.
Rewards are funded by us, not by a token we print, so the honest limit is that the rate can change. If it ever does, it changes here first and in writing.
08 · Custody
Three parties touch this product and each one holds something different. Most cards scatter that across three legal documents. One diagram instead.
What you send is bridged and credited to your balance in dollars, and that balance sits with the card issuer. It is never on our balance sheet and we cannot move it.
Issuance, authorisation, settlement and the identity check all run through the issuer of record under their licence. Your documents go to them and stay with them.
We build the app, the controls and this page. We are not a bank, we do not hold your money, and we do not keep a copy of your ID.
09 · Questions
Anywhere Mastercard is, which is not a claim we have to make ourselves. It is an ordinary card number to the merchant, so online checkouts, shop terminals, subscriptions and bookings abroad all work the way they already do. Nobody at the till has to know how it is funded, and no merchant has to install anything.
A card number, and nothing else. Not your wallet address, not your balance, not what else you own or where it came from. The chain and the checkout never meet.
Yes, once, and it is the card issuer who runs it rather than us. ID plus a selfie, usually cleared in minutes. They hold that record; we never store your documents and never see them.
USDT or USDC, on Solana. Both are dollar-pegged, so what you send is what lands. Solana only, deliberately: one network is one place for us to watch a deposit arrive and reconcile it, and it settles in seconds for a few cents. We do not take wBTC, ETH or any other asset. Your deposit address is permanent, so you can save it once and top up whenever you like.
It credits once the network confirms and the bridge settles. There is no clearing window, no cut-off time and no working days involved, which is the part a bank transfer cannot match.
There is a one-off charge for the card and no monthly account fee after it. You see the exact amount, and anything the network charges to move your money, before you agree to any of it. Nothing is taken that you have not seen first.
No. There is one card, and it is the same card for everybody. If that changes we will say so here rather than quietly adding a membership page.
No. Vaals is a technology company, not a bank. Card issuance, settlement and identity all run through a licensed issuer of record, and your balance sits with them rather than with us. The custody section names who holds what.
Nothing happens. There is no monthly account fee, no dormancy charge and no minimum balance to keep. The money stays yours and you can withdraw it on-chain.
Because we would rather not build a product on a structure that does not survive contact with a regulator. If that changes, we will publish exactly how it works before we launch it.
