A hold is not a completed payment.
See what is reserved, what remains available, and when the merchant actually clears.
Stablecoin-funded · Mastercard
Fund the card in USDC, add it to Apple Pay in one tap, and spend where Mastercard is taken. Every fee and every cap is printed on this page, the same numbers the app enforces.
02 · The flow
Send USDC on any supported chain. No bank account, no wire, no clearing window.
02 · The flow
Your virtual card lands instantly and pushes to Apple Pay or Google Pay in one tap. Tap anywhere Mastercard is taken, balance converts at the point of sale at the printed rate.

04 · The app
No end-of-day batch, no settlement window. The number on screen is the number the card can spend, the instant it changes.
04 · The app
The virtual card provisions straight to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Tap the phone at the terminal, same card underneath.
04 · The app
Authorized holds, cleared charges, declines, logged the moment they happen. Nothing waits for a monthly statement.
05 · Manifesto
Everyfeeprinted.Everycapprinted.Thesamenumberstheappenforces.
06 · The product
A card account built around the moments most banking apps hide: the deposit that is still confirming, the hotel hold that has not cleared, and the exact rate used when it does.
Product details
Every screen is designed around the actual event underneath it, not a generic spinner.
See what is reserved, what remains available, and when the merchant actually clears.
Provision the virtual card to the wallet already on your phone.
07 · The spec
Caps are printed beside the rate they apply to, not buried in a membership agreement. These render from the same config the app enforces.
Draft schedule, pending issuer review. Cashback caps are monthly and reset on the 1st. Where a cap exists it is printed beside the rate.
From authorization through clearing and cashback. No mystery adjustment.
08 · Custody
Most crypto cards scatter this across three legal documents. One diagram instead.
Stablecoins sit with a regulated custodian under a segregated account structure. Not on our balance sheet.
Issuance, authorisation, settlement and identity all run through the issuer of record under their licence.
We build the app, the controls and this page. We are not a bank and we do not hold your money.
09 · By the numbers
10 · Questions
Yes. The card issuer runs identity verification before any card is issued, ID plus a selfie, once. It typically clears in minutes. We surface their flow, they hold the record.
No. Vaals is a technology company, not a bank. Card issuance and settlement run through a licensed issuer of record, and balances are held by a regulated custodian. The custody section names every party.
Nothing. No monthly account fee, no dormancy charge, no minimum balance. Withdraw on-chain at any time at the printed rate.
USDC on five networks at launch. Deposits credit after network confirmation, usually well under a minute on the faster chains.
Because we would rather not build a product on a structure that does not survive contact with a regulator. If that changes, we will publish exactly how it works before we launch it.
